Start to Finish Events, LLC – Event Services Agreement
Effective Date: March 16, 2025
By using the services of Start to Finish Events, LLC (“Event Planner,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), you (“Client,” “you,” or “your”) agree to the following terms and conditions (“Agreement”). These terms govern the services provided by Start to Finish Events, LLC, located at Windsor Mill, Maryland 21244.
1. Services Provided
Start to Finish Events, LLC offers event planning services, including but not limited to:
- Event Setup
- Vendor Management
- Event Procurement
- Event Rentals (e.g., pipe and drape, balloons, decorations)
- Additional event-related services as agreed upon in writing.
Specific details and scope of services will be outlined in your contract with Start to Finish Events, LLC. Any additional services or items requested outside the original agreement will incur additional charges.
2. Payment Terms
- Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total event fee is required to confirm your booking. This deposit is due immediately upon execution of this Agreement.
- Final Payment: The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to the event date. Payments made after the due date will incur a 5% late fee on the outstanding balance. Failure to pay the remaining balance in full by the due date may result in the cancellation of the event, with the deposit retained.
- Payment Methods: Payments can be made via [Insert Accepted Payment Methods, e.g., credit card, check, bank transfer]. Payments are exclusive of taxes and additional charges, which are the responsibility of the Client.
3. Cancellation and Rescheduling
- Cancellation by Client:
- More than 60 days prior to the event: Client forfeits the deposit and is responsible for 25% of the total event fee.
- 30-60 days prior to the event: Client forfeits the deposit and is responsible for 50% of the total event fee.
- Less than 30 days prior to the event: Client is responsible for the entire total event fee, and no refunds will be made.
- Rescheduling: Should you request to reschedule the event, a rescheduling fee of $500 will apply. Rescheduling is subject to availability and may incur additional charges based on the new event date and the scope of services. Rescheduling requests must be made in writing and are subject to our approval.
- Notice Requirement: All cancellations or rescheduling requests must be submitted in writing to info@starttofinishevents.com. The date of receipt of the written request will be considered the official cancellation or rescheduling date.
4. Responsibilities of the Client
- Venue Preparation: The Client is responsible for ensuring that the venue is accessible and ready for event setup at the agreed-upon time. Any delays caused by the venue or external factors may result in additional fees, which the Client will be responsible for.
- Damaged or Lost Rental Items: The Client is responsible for all rented items provided by Start to Finish Events, LLC, including but not limited to balloons, pipe and drape, and decorations. Any items that are damaged, lost, or not returned in good condition will incur the full cost of replacement or repair, which will be billed to the Client.
- Use of Items: All rental items provided by Start to Finish Events, LLC are intended for adult use unless otherwise specified. The Client acknowledges that latex items and balloons are not suitable for children and may pose a health risk to individuals with latex allergies. The Client is responsible for informing all event participants of any risks associated with these items.
5. Liability and Insurance
- Non-Liability for Injury or Damage: Start to Finish Events, LLC shall not be held liable for any injury, accident, or damage to persons or property arising from the use of rental items or services. The Client assumes full responsibility for the safety of all individuals during the event and agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Start to Finish Events, LLC, its employees, agents, vendors, and contractors from any claims, damages, or injuries.
- Insurance: It is the sole responsibility of the Client to obtain appropriate event insurance, including but not limited to general liability, accident, and property damage coverage. Start to Finish Events, LLC recommends that the Client secure such insurance prior to the event.
6. Force Majeure
Neither party will be held liable for any failure to perform or delays in performance due to events beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, pandemics, governmental actions, war, or other unforeseen circumstances. Both parties agree to work in good faith to reschedule or otherwise address the event’s impact.
7. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Maryland. Any disputes arising under this Agreement shall be resolved in the appropriate courts located in Baltimore County, Maryland. The Client agrees to submit to the jurisdiction of these courts and agrees that venue shall lie exclusively in Baltimore County, Maryland.
8. Modification of Agreement
Start to Finish Events, LLC reserves the right to modify or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any modifications will be posted on our website, and the Client’s continued use of services will constitute acceptance of the updated terms.
9. Entire Agreement
This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between Start to Finish Events, LLC and the Client. It supersedes any prior or contemporaneous oral or written agreements, understandings, or representations. Any modifications must be made in writing and signed by both parties.
10. Severability
If any provision of this Agreement is deemed invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remainder of the Agreement will remain in full force and effect.
By engaging our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the terms and conditions set forth in this Agreement.
